uhm, I am the youngest of 6 kids, all my siblings are married and have kids---my hubby had 3 siblings (one died new years day)....10 nieces/nephews, my mom and hubbys parents (and 'step' mom)......and friends.....so with about 25+ people to buy for, yeah there is a limit on what I can and will spend on them (and yes some of my siblings have quoted the $25 spending limit as well).....

and we are taling the ce of chapter 1----its not $70 anywhere around here (last time I saw it it was over $200!)......

but am glad that did add stuff to the dance, still not worth extra for it, but oh well its my xmas gift from my hubby now (yeah, forgot about him in the total above).

(ebay currently has 4 gwp CE for auction 2 are buyitnow $249, one is at $77 the other over $100---with many days left on both those auctions)

I can't believe anyone would pay extra for a silly dance and mini-pet. The CE has always been a joke.

Well I sure was incorrect.. I thought we'd have the added ability of having our emotes be "special" and fun.. Well when I got my CE from UPS this morning, I logged onto GW to hear my entire alliance crying about how you need to buy Proph CE along with Nightfalls CE just to be able to have your emotes like both factions and proph, although with factions you didn't even need proph to have your special emotes..

I was let down hearing about this, and even more so when I typed dancenew (as my only special ability from buying CE) and saw him spin around a couple times and act like he was possed by a bloody demon..

Maybe it's not to late Anet.. to fix this huge mistake you've given to your gaming community.. If I actually have to buy proph CE just to get the special abilities in nightfalls CE, it'll be turning the dagger even more.. OHHH ouch!!

Only thing I really liked from CE was the artbook, the posters were a bit on the lame side..

You're obviously refering to divine aura......
Everyone knows dvine aura only comes with the Prophecies CE and if that was all you wanted the CE for; if you did a little research before you bought it you would see Nightfall doesn't include divine aura.

Also, there are actually CE prophs in stores still. There were about 5 at frys and 2 at eb games around my house. I think the signature (coupled dance) is the most awesome deal they have had yet. I can't imagine that was that easy to impliment either. Theres an aweful lot of whining over getting a bad deal on the CE, wow...[/QUOTE]

WHAT OMG, i gotta go find a copy, cuz i was thinking about spending alot of money on ebay to buy it. I wish A-net could erase master accounts made by a certain account so that i could fuse my regular Prophecies with my CE Prophecies!

And how is ingame stuff so important? There's more to CE than dances and minipets, you know.
-Artbook
-Making of DVD
-Soundtrack
-Skill pins
If I spent the extra money for CE, it would be a waste. Artbook would wind up destroyed or lost, making of DVD would get half watched and chucked in a drawer, soundtrack would prolly get used some, and skill pins would wind up in a drawer or lost. But to each his own.

Oh, and I bought the game, so yeah, I supported the game. In game stuff is important because that's where you're gonna spend most of your time...right? But I thought the in game stuff was a bit lacking. Maybe they should have saved the awesome weapons in the pre-order bonus pack for the CE and give the bonus pack just the extra slot. That's a good value in of itself, since slots cost 10 bucks at the in game store, so buying the bonus pack is getting an extra slot half-price. There was really no need for the weapons there, and it would have made more sense to put it in the CE edition and would have generated more sales for CE.

I bought the CE for one reason, and one reason only. In my town, I went shopping for Nightfall on release day, in the early afternoon. I found that among all of the stores (no big EB Games type stores here!) I visited, there were exactly 7 copies of factions, 4 copies of Prophecies, and ZERO copies of Nightfall (not even a place for it) on the shelves! I went out later that evening and found ONE copy of Nightfall (at the 3rd store I checked), it was a CE and it was only $60.00, so I grabbed it.

It's kinda nice to have the map, but it's hard to read. The Art book is pretty cool. I could give a flip about the "making of" DVD and the music CD. They made the mini-Varesh a bit tooo mini, I had a hard time seeing her when I popped her out the first time. She was lost in the grasses.

bol.com (where I order basically all my music/games) RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up and had the CE for the price of the standard edition for like a week. They changed it later on, but by then I had already ordered. Sadly I wasn't smart enough to order like 10 copies or so. *Smacks his head*

I probably wouldn't have bought the CE otherwise.. But a CE for the price of an SE makes me very happy.
